STRIKEZONE on TV

It's official STRIKEZONE will go to air in Sydney on Thursday May 6th at 8:30pm on TVS (digital 44, other states to follow watch this space for times and dates). The show will be repeated on Saturday mornings at 9:30 am and Sundays at 5pm.

Battling the elements, fishing the wildest seas and catching the biggest fish - all for fun. No other show has ever seen anglers go to such great lengths to catch some of the biggest fish in the country -
until NOW!

Certainly a tall claim but, never before has there been a fishing show that has taking on such big challenges from the biggest tuna to backcountry cod. Strikezone is breaking away from the mould of charter boats and small fish and is heading out on its own doing it all from a trailerboat.

Strikezone has pulled together some of the best anglers in the country (oh yeah and Al!) to create this exciting new series that is all about nonstop action and big fish. With no less than seven cameras Strikezone TV is always going to get the best angle both above and below the surface.

With Al’s insatiable passion for all things outdoors Strikezone will raise the bar to produce a show that is a clever mix of the ‘Blue Planet’ style documentary, throw in a touch of Top Gear and some of the best fishing footage ever captured on film to make the ultimate fishing show.

In 2002 Alistair McGlashan and Ron Croft met while on a fishing/filming trip with Modern Fishing’s editor Daniel Tillack on the Great Barrier Reef. Hitting it off immediately, Alistair and Ron started to toy with the idea of producing a series of high quality fishing DVD’s. Sample Image

Even though Ron managed to catch a bigger cobia than Alistair on that trip the seed was planted and over a few drinks Strikezone Media came to life. Ron with his exceptional skills behind the camera coupled with Alistair’s extensive fishing knowledge and ‘cruisy’ presentation style makes for an ideal partnership.
